9.355 Can I Just Be a Housewife?

No, but seriously. I like cleaning and organizing, it's therapeutic for me. If I could stay at home, my house would be spotless; it'd be a sanctuary. I could have more time to maintain a flower and huge vegetable garden. I can cook up a storm and experiment with a lot of new recipes. I'd search for coupons and hunt down the best grocery deals. Heck, I'd have time to keep up with the blog. As long as I keep myself preoccupied with chores around the house, I'd never be bored.

It's been difficult keeping up with the blog these days. Sometimes I wish I can make this easier somehow. It'd be nice to blog in real time so I can tell you guys about any deals/sales I come across. But alas, post-sales will have to do.

This sweater jacket from Aritzia was on sale when I bought it. I can't remember the price now but I like the colour and how it's made of merino wool. The Mister loves how it looks on me.

I got this little gem from Fossil back in Feb/March I believe. It's very delicate that I broke it at one point. I got pliers and fixed it so hopefully it doesn't snap on me again. I love how dainty it looks paired with my Pandora bracelet.

This is another bracelet from Fossil. I found this in the clearance section and there was only one left in the store. I think I got it for around $30 or something. The clasp is magnetic so it's really easy to put on.

A couple months ago I also got a Ted Baker watch from the Hudson Bay, it was on sale for $165 (retail $215).

I thought the floral print on the face of the watch was so unique and pretty that I couldn't pass it up. Unfortunately I cannot find the watch on the site anymore, but there are a couple of new ones now: this one has white flowersthis one is a cherry blossom face, and this one has many variety of flowers and butterflies. They also have another cherry blossom one with a blue strap and they have other watches with the straps decorated with the flowers instead of the face. They're all on sale for $159.20 and I'm actually contemplating on getting the flowers and butterfly one. It looks so pretty!

I will advise, however, that the leather straps on these watches aren't the greatest quality. I've worn it several times and the leather still feels stiff. It's not soft and supple as other leather goods. I love the size of the dial though, as it's not so big that it looks like a man's watch.

The following pieces of jewelry from Expression I bought at full price, and some of them I got on sale for 40% off.

These earrings are a copycat of those Dior Tribal earrings. Of course, the real deal is too much for me to bear, so I'll stick with the cheaper alternative. The glass ones with beads inside are really cute on. I bought the glass ones at full price, which is fine when I think about it because they were sold out in-stores when I was shopping the sale.

I got both of these on sale too during Bay Days.

This picture does no justice to these bracelets. They glimmer and are really pretty in person.

I'm glad I waited for the sale to get these. I was holding out hoping that I could snatch them when they do go on sale. They look nice paired with a watch or other bracelets. I'm also really into semi precious stones these days.

Last but not least of the jewelry, I bought my first piece from Jenny Bird.

I watched Lisa's haul a month back where she showed the new Spring/Summer collection from Jenny Bird. I was in awe with this one necklace she showed.

And here it is. It's called the Saros Lariat. Isn't it beautiful? And it's neat and unique looking! It's also innovative as you can move the ball where you want on the chain, it stays exactly where you want it. I was actually contemplating on getting another one in the silver/gold combo. I probably won't though because I'd rather get another new piece instead of getting the same one in a different colour.

Makeup! Something I haven't blogged about for some time! Fret not, I still have to share my Sephora haul and my recent Shiseido sale haul. Although I didn't get any makeup from the Shiseido sale this time around. Anyway, these Rouge Dior lipsticks were the new formulations that Dior came out with. I will note that I was slightly disappointed with the packaging. Although it looks like a luxury lipstick case, the lid sounds and feels cheap. If you compare it to their other lipstick lines, you'll notice that the plastic used for these lipsticks seems lesser quality. The sound it makes when you close the lipstick, sounds exactly like a Maybelline lipstick. The rest of the lipstick packaging seems up to standard though.

772 "Classic Matte" is from their matte finish line. Although it's a matte, it goes on very smoothly and doesn't dry out my lips. For a matte lipstick, it feels creamy and comfortable to wear. The pigmentation is very good.

250 "Bal" is from their satin finish line. This lipstick feels moisturising and goes on very smoothly. Pigmentation is also good.

Left is "Classic Matte", right is "Bal". I've had my share of Dior lipsticks and I would definitely recommend them. They are really great when it comes to lipstick formulations. They always come out to be creamy and hydrating and they're always comfortable to wear.
