8.339 HRH & Liel

I am on a roll with blogging! Actually it's because I'm extremely behind, which I'm sure, was evident from my last post. I need to pump out these posts so that I can move on and share more present-day relevant stuff instead of old news.

You might have seen me snap these HRH Collection bracelets on Snapchat some time back. It was the first time I ordered from Alex and I will say, I'm quite impressed with the quality of her pieces. The bracelets were actually a bit too big for my wrist so I attempted to remove 2 links so that the stones wouldn't flop around when I wore them. Let me just say, #thestrugglewasreal. The metal links are so strong and durable that I had trouble trying to bend them open. I even asked my sister and the Mister to try it and even they had a hard time with it. In the process, I unfortunately made some minor damages to the connecting links still on the bracelet... but at least they fit better now. I got one HRH Dauphine in "Aquamarine" and two Micro Dauphines in "Magenta Peacock" and "Acid Zelda". All the stones I got are rare and vintage (as per Alex). All three that ordered are pictured in her Instagram post. The stones shine even more beautifully in person. Price tag is pretty high though... but she's got to make money somehow.

I discovered Liel and Lentz when the followed me on Instagram on day (one of those follows purely for advertising... but I guess it worked haha). What caught my attention was that they are based in Toronto. Oh wow, I looked back in my emails and realized that I bought the above bracelets in October of last year but I forgot to share it until now (yikes!). The things you can find on your camera roll LOL.

I got both of these, Howlite Bar and Chain Tassel, on sale for 30% off (originally they were $85 each but I got them for $59.50 each) I loved the quality and look of the bracelets so much that I decided to make another order back in March of this year.

I decided to get their iconic Snake bracelet in silver. I've received compliments when I wore this bracelet. It's pricey at $105 but I got 25% off making it $78.75. I love the design but the quality does not match the other two above bracelets I got. Although this bracelet is more expensive, it feels too lightweight and cheap. I thought it would be made of of some sort of metal like the Chain Tassel bracelet, but it's only rhodium plated and feels like plastic. The rhodium plating on the bracelet near the clasp has already started to wear off exposing a bit of a copper colour underneath. I'm a bit disappointed with this one. I wish it was made better because the design is beautiful.

And, as if my love for Toronto isn't strong enough, I ventured into Brika and got myself some coasters with the Toronto map on them.

They're made of wood and they're so cool, aren't they?! When I saw them I immediately had to have them. I haven't started using them yet though, as I'm saving them for when I get my own place.

A little random, but have you guys tried the Hotel Collection Elite Bath Towels? I couldn't resist how incredibly soft it is. I got it on sale at The Hudson Bay for $42 (retails $70). It's on sale now actually. I would totally grab some more plus get a matching hand towel but I'll be good and continue to wait patiently until I move out one day.
