I can't believe I forgot to blog about our evening at Cirque du Soleil - Luzia! They were in town in October and we thought we'd check them out. Luckily I found some discounted tickets on Living Social so we didn't have to pay full price.
We got back row seats because I learned from experience (see Kurios) that the far back seats aren't really that far from the stage. You can see everything very clearly since the tent isn't all that big (not as large as a stadium). We sat in the second last row and it was well worth not spending as much as people in the front. I think any seats in the centre are much better than any of the front side seats. This time I was able to see the whole show at a better angle and was able to thoroughly enjoy it a lot better.
The one click above that was worth the trouble. I actually got in "trouble" because the people saw my phone. Darn auto-light for the screen was on haha. I swear I just wanted a couple good pics for my blog! The opening scene with the huge horse and butterfly wings was truly incredible to watch.
We got some popcorn and churros before the show started, but we were only able to eat the popcorn during the show since it was too difficult to eat the churros in the dark. The churros with nutella dip was alright. Perhaps it'd taste better if it was still warm and freshly made.
You guys... the show was amaz-ing! I loved everything about it. Every single act was incredible and there was no moment in the show that left me feeling bored. To be honest, we didn't expect much from the show since we thought the theme and funky marketing was a bit out there (odd). Turns out, it was the best one we've seen so far!!
Be sure to follow me on snapchat because I do snap about a lot of random things you might not see on my blog. It's also a great way to get real-time updates from me. As you can see from above, I snapped about my time at Cirque du Soleil - Luzia.
I loved the show so much that I wanted more than just a mug to remind me of my time there (keeping the tradition alive of getting a souvenir cup). I got a tote (which I use to bring to work now), a key chain (which I've attached onto my locker key), and two mugs- one for Luzia keepsake and the other Cirque du Soleil mug for the Mister. We've never come acroos that mug before and thought it was too nice of a design to pass up.
